Projecting Stability: Germany contributed more than 7.1 million EUR to NATO Trust Fund projects in 2016

From its 2016 budget, Germany has made voluntary contributions of an overall sum of 7,133,500 to a variety of Trust Fund projects in the NATO Partnership for Peace (PfP) context, for Ukraine and for Defence Capacity Building (DCB). Amongst the many partnership tools that NATO uses to engage with its partners, the Trust Funds, whether as part of PfP or the DCB-Initiative, offer particularly practical and efficient ways to ensure that cooperation among interested Allies and partners yields concrete and visible results.  Over the years the Trust Fund projects have become a trademark of NATO’s cooperative security efforts. They continue to play a vital role in projecting stability beyond NATO’s borders. Bild vergrößern

The Trust Fund projects are an example of allied resolve and engagement with NATO’s partner countries: The combined efforts of the respective lead nations, NATO International Staff as well as the executing agencies and partner countries all contribute to this important field of work.
